At Miller’s Luxury Puppy, we are committed to providing you with a healthy, happy puppy. Below are the details of our health and genetic warranties to give you peace of mind.
Health Guarantee
- Your puppy is certified to be in sound health at the time of sale, to the best of our knowledge.
- Your puppy has received all vaccines and deworming treatments as stated in the vaccination and treatment record provided to you.
- We strongly recommend, but do not require, that your puppy be spayed or neutered.
Buyer’s Responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing proper care, including:
- Regular vaccinations and boosters.
- Routine deworming.
- Adequate food, water, shelter, and veterinary care.
- Proper diet, exercise, and living conditions play a significant role in your puppy’s development and long-term health.
- Hip Dysplasia Awareness: While hip dysplasia has a hereditary component, environmental factors also contribute. As a puppy owner, you share the responsibility of preventing this condition through proper care.
Two-Week Health Warranty
- You must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within two weeks of the purchase date.
- If two unaffiliated veterinarians certify that your puppy has:
- Internal parasites.
- A contagious illness the puppy was vaccinated against.
- A serious health issue that could shorten or significantly alter the puppy’s quality of life.
- We will reimburse reasonable and customary veterinary bills related to the treatment of the condition, up to the purchase price of the puppy.
Exclusions:
- Stress-Related Conditions: Stress from moving to a new home, changes in diet, or overhandling can cause minor health issues (e.g., diarrhea, constipation, colds, hypoglycemia). These are not covered under the warranty.
- External Parasites: We do not guarantee against ticks, fleas, or ear mites.
- Color, Size, or Breed Characteristics: We cannot guarantee the adult color, size, or specific breed characteristics of your puppy.
Two-Year Genetic Warranty
If a genetic condition is diagnosed within the first two years that severely impacts your puppy’s health and lifespan, you may choose one of the following:
1. Reimbursement – We will cover veterinary treatment costs up to the purchase price of the puppy.
2. Puppy Replacement – We will provide a replacement puppy or issue credit for a future puppy (note: if you choose replacement, veterinary expenses will not be reimbursed).
Conditions for Warranty Claims:
- You must provide official reports from two unaffiliated veterinarians confirming the genetic defect.
- In the event of the puppy’s death, an autopsy must be performed by a licensed veterinarian, and the documentation must be forwarded to us.
- We reserve the right to confirm the diagnosis with a veterinarian of our choice.
Agreement
- All warranties apply only to the original buyer.
- Under no circumstances will Miller’s Luxury Puppy be liable to a third party.
- Any disputes, mediation, or legal proceedings will take place in the state of Ohio.
