At Miller’s Luxury Puppy, we follow a structured waitlist process to ensure fairness in puppy selection. Below is an overview of how wait times work and what to expect.
How Our Waitlist Works
In short, here’s how it works:
Placing a Deposit – Once your application is approved, you can place a deposit to secure a spot on our Master List.
Waitlist Placement – Your position on the list is based on when your deposit is received.
Litter Announcements – When a new litter is born, we notify all deposit holders.
Puppy Selection – At 6 weeks old, families on the waitlist choose their puppy in order of seniority.

Factors That Affect Wait Times
- Litter Availability: Wait times depend on how many litters are available and how many puppies are in each litter.
- Your Preferences: If you’re looking for a specific gender, color, or breed, it may take longer to find the perfect match.
- Your Position on the Master List: Families at the top of the list typically have shorter wait times.
- Flexibility – Being open to different options may help you find a puppy sooner.
Typical Wait Time
- Available Puppies: If you’re open to adopting a puppy from an available litter, you could bring your puppy home in as little as 1-2 weeks.
- Future Litters: If you’re waiting for a specific breed, gender, or color, the wait time can range from a few weeks to a few months, depending on your position on the Master List and litter availability.
What Happens While You Wait?
- Stay Updated: We’ll keep you informed about upcoming litters and your position on the Master List.
- Prepare for Your Puppy: Use this time to gather supplies, puppy-proof your home, and read up on puppy care. Check out our Shopping List for recommendations.
- Ask Questions: Our team is always here to answer your questions and provide support while you wait.

If you decide to wait for a future litter, you will keep your seniority and move up in priority for the next available puppies.
While we can’t guarantee shorter wait times, being flexible with your preferences (e.g., gender or color) can help you find a puppy sooner.
Yes! When puppies turn 6 weeks old, we send updated photos, videos, and temperament assessments to help you make the best choice. You’ll have 24 hours to select your puppy once it’s your turn.
We’ll notify you by email or phone when a litter is available and it’s your turn to pick.
Your deposit is refundable (minus a 10% processing fee) until you select a puppy.
Yes! We encourage in-person visits for local families. For out-of-state adopters, we provide detailed photos, videos, and virtual meet-and-greets.
